India’s Sundeep Gulati and Mongolia’s Ganbat Gan Orkhon Crowned Continental Champions

The World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) proudly congratulates the champions and participants of the Asian Heyball Championship 2025, which concluded after a thrilling week of elite cue sports action at the Myna Tyche Hotel in Amman, Jordan.
Organized under the auspices of the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports (ACBS), the championship delivered world-class competition, exceptional sportsmanship, and a showcase of the growing depth of Heyball talent across Asia.
🏆 Champions Rise in Amman
India’s Sundeep Gulati produced a commanding performance to capture the Men’s Asian Heyball title, defeating Ali Pordel (Iran) 7–2 in a dominant final display. The victory marks Gulati’s first international Heyball title and his second major win of the year, following his national championship triumph in India earlier this season.
Gulati’s journey to the title was defined by composure and consistency. After surviving a tense semi-final shootout 3–1, he controlled the final with clinical precision, securing a breakthrough moment for Indian cue sports.
The men’s bronze medals were awarded to Arfan Dad (Pakistan) and Ahmed Aloqaili (Jordan), the latter earning an emotional podium finish on home soil to the delight of local fans.
In the Women’s division, Mongolia’s Ganbat Gan Orkhon captured her maiden continental crown, edging out Thailand’s defending champion Waratthanun Sukritthanes 4–3 in a thrilling final. Ganbat’s composed start and focused play carried her to victory, marking a proud moment for Mongolian cue sports.
India’s Vidya Pillai and Anupama Ramachandran both claimed bronze medals, rounding off a strong showing from the Indian contingent.
