The 2024 Asian Heyball Open, running from October 23 to 26 in Doha, Qatar, is part of the “From China with Love” campaign, aimed at growing Heyball’s popularity. Organized by the Qatar Billiard Sports Federation and sanctioned by the World Pool Association, the event will feature top players from around the world, with live streaming available for fans to watch online.
The tournament will have two stages: 64 players will compete in a double elimination format in Stage 1, with the final 16 advancing to single elimination matches in Stage 2. Men’s matches will be a race to 7 or 100 minutes, while the women’s matches will be a race to 6 or 100 minutes, with a shootout in case of ties.
Athletes are expected to arrive by October 22, with the tournament starting the next day at the Qatar BSF Academy. The prize pool for both the men’s and women’s events is $58,000, with $10,000 going to each winner. Live streaming will be available for fans around the world to enjoy the action.
