2026 Formosa Cup International Pool Open Concludes in Taiwan

The 2026 Formosa Cup International Pool Open has officially concluded following a week of high-level international competition, bringing together talented players from across Asia and beyond for a memorable celebration of pool.

From the opening qualification rounds through to the championship matches, the tournament delivered exciting competition, dramatic exchanges and outstanding performances across both the Junior and Adult Divisions.

In the Junior Division, Vietnam’s Nguyen Tien Trung claimed the championship, defeating Chinese Taipei’s Lin Ting Chun in the final. Lin Cheng Yen and Prince Crisann Marcelo Delos Santos shared third place.

In the Adult Division, the title went to the Philippines as Kyle Amoroto emerged champion. Alexis Ferrer finished runner-up, while Hsieh Chia Chen of Chinese Taipei and James Aranas of the Philippines shared third place.

The tournament once again highlighted the growing international strength and depth of pool, with players from different nations competing at the highest level and showcasing the skill, discipline and competitive spirit that continue to drive the sport forward.

The successful staging of the Formosa Cup was made possible through the collective efforts of everyone involved. The World Pool Association (WPA) extends its congratulations and appreciation to the players, officials, referees, organizers, volunteers, sponsors, partners and fans who contributed to the event.
