The best girl – Oliwia Czyprynska and two talented boys – Marek Kudlik (1st place) & Konrad Piekarski (2nd place). Third gold medal – in wheelchair division, belongs now to Jouni Tahti from Finland. Great competition, vivid opening ceremony with the visit of international & local officials, TV cameras welcoming the participants at the airport in Warsaw, visits in local schools,
evenings with Polish cuisine and last but not least – wonderful atmosphere and sports emotions – this is how this event can be described in one sentence.

Kielce had the pleasure to welcome the top wheelchair & junior players from all over the world, in total – 114 participants (in the main tournament and qualifications). During these 4 days 115 matches were played.

In Hotel “Lysogory” we could witness laughter of the winners and tears of young Briana Miller who did not manage to reach for silver medal again, Polish lessons given to Jeff Robson and smiling face of the President of WPA Ian Anderson who was observing young talents, thankful words toward Mr Marcin Krzeminski – the Organizer of the event.

In boys division –

Polish juniors were the top ones – in the final game Marek Kudlik won 11:9 with Konrad Piekarski. Bronze medals went to Bence Varga from Hungary and Marc Bijsterbosch from the Netherlands.

In wheelchair division- once again Jouni Tahti from Finland was the leader. Henrik Larsson from Sweden finished with the runner up trophy. Kurt Declerck from Belgium and Fred Dinsmore from Ireland collected bronze medals.

In girls division –

Oliwia Czuprynska – from Poland competed with Anastasia Nachayeva from Russia. On the third position placed Daria Sirotina (RUS) and Kamila Kodhejeva (B).

Many thanks to all the referees and Waldemar Debski who for the first time held the position of Tournament Leader. Due to the great number of people watching the games live on the internet – it was impossible to enter the main website, the Organizers needed to rely on more servers than expected so that the final day could be watched online. Thanks to EPBF all the billiard fans were able to watch the transmission from 10 tables.
