“It is a tremendous honour to welcome players, officials, delegates and supporters from around the world to London for the 2026 WPA Blackball World Championships.
“This championship represents far more than competition. It is an opportunity to bring nations together through sport, celebrate the dedication of our athletes, strengthen international friendships and inspire the next generation of Blackball players.
“Every player who takes to the table has worked hard to earn the opportunity to represent their country. We wish all competitors the very best and encourage them to compete with pride, respect and sportsmanship.
“May these championships be remembered not only for the champions who emerge, but also for the friendships formed, the standards of competition achieved and the memories created throughout the week.”
World-Class Competition and Sporting Excellence
Blackball pool demands concentration, accuracy, strategic thinking and the ability to perform under pressure. At world championship level, the smallest details can determine the outcome of a match, making every frame a test of technical ability, tactical judgement and mental strength.
The 2026 championships provide an international platform for established players to demonstrate their excellence, emerging talents to make their mark and participating nations to showcase the depth of their talent across multiple age groups and divisions.
The inclusion of youth, senior and wheelchair categories reflects the breadth of the sport and the importance of creating opportunities for athletes at different stages of their sporting journeys.
Beyond the competition, the championships bring together players, officials, supporters and the wider Blackball community in a shared celebration of international sport, reinforcing the role of cuesports in building connections across borders.
