By participating in any event, tournament, or activity sanctioned by the World Pool Association (WPA), I, the undersigned athlete (or parent/guardian, if the participant is a minor), agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that participation in WPA-sanctioned events involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, accidents, and property damage. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, including travel and competition.
2. Release and Waiver of Liability
I release the WPA, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, sponsors, event hosts, and any other related organizations or individuals (the “Released Parties”) from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from my participation in any WPA-sanctioned event, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
3. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, liabilities, or damages, including legal fees, arising from my actions or participation in any WPA-sanctioned event.
4. Medical Treatment
I consent to necessary medical treatment in the event of injury or illness and understand that I am responsible for any medical costs incurred during my participation.
5. Compliance with Rules
I agree to comply with all WPA rules, regulations, and instructions. I understand that failure to comply may result in disqualification, removal from the event, or other actions without refund.
6. Media Release
I grant the WPA and its partners the right to use any photos, videos, or media content of me from the event for promotional or commercial purposes without compensation.
